The Second Annual North Texas Taco Festival will be a celebration of our area’s taco diversity held in conjunction with the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and presented by the Taco Trail and Entrée Dallas. The event will host more than 20 taquerías, restaurants and food trucks, serving some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s favorite tacos. Among the vendors offering classic and unique tacos are Cafeteria y Loncheria El Padrino, Rusty Taco, Rock and Roll Tacos, So-Cal Tacos. Those curious about Filipino tacos should amble into Zen Bistro & Dessert Bar. And that’s only the beginning. More exciting announcements will be made leading up to the festival.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market's is a monthly event whose objective is to bring people to the streets of our neighborhood and give exposure to our local artists and businesses. It creates an atmosphere where individuals can be individuals. Come to Deep Ellum to enjoy a different side of Dallas.

The Taco Trail documents the taco-eating adventures of José Ralat-Maldonado, a Dallas-based writer who has munched on excellent and terrible tacos from New York to San Diego and Mexico. The blog has been featured by CNN’s Eatocracy, City of Ate and CraveDFW.

Entrée Dallas is not about the writers or their opinions – the important people tell the stories; we just do our best to do them justice in full-length, feature-story format. Here we hope to provide the most interesting, informative, unique, creative, and outrageous food and food-related stories this city has to offer..

The North Texas Taco Festival will be held at the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market, located on Main Street between Malcolm X Boulevard and Crowdus Street. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. and will last until 5 p.m.

The North Texas Taco Festival will also be holding a Chef Cookoff, taking chefs out of the comfort of their own well-known kitchens (where they don't serve many tacos) and pitting them against each other to see who can create the greatest taco among them. A raffle will be held to select the lucky few to sample all five chefs take on tacos, while judges qualified either though celebrity or experience will determine the final victor!
